July in Oklahoma City is one of those months that catches people off guard. The calendar fills up fast with concerts, outdoor markets, theater, sporting events, fireworks, and more; and if you are not paying attention, it goes by before you had a chance to enjoy it. Whether you are a longtime local, a family who just relocated to the OKC metro, or someone still figuring out what this city has to offer, this is your complete guide to things to do in Oklahoma City in July 2026.
I put this list together every month because I genuinely love this city and want the people who live here; and the ones thinking about moving here | to see exactly why Oklahoma City is worth it. Wide open spaces, a slower pace of life, and more going on than most people expect.
Week 2: July 6–12
Sister Act at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma

This is one of the most anticipated theater productions in Oklahoma City this summer; a Tony; nominated musical full of gospel; influenced music, big performances, and a lot of fun.
