About a year ago, my past client sent me the contact information for her family member who wanted to move from California to Oklahoma City - Just like they did several years ago.
During the buyer consultation, I learned they had a list of needs (not just wants). They needed 2 primary bedrooms because they are a multigenerational family, they needed a shop, and they did not want an HOA.
I did multiple virtual showings until we found the perfect home!
That’s not the end of the story. After we submitted our offer we were notified that the seller couldn’t sign because of a legal issue. Then once that was worked out the seller no longer wanted to accept our offer because of additional showings. We didn’t give up on negotiations and eventually got it under contract for $40,000 less than the list price. You read that correctly!
Let’s just say it was NOT a smooth process to get this to the closing table at any point in the transaction, but I knew there wouldn’t be another home that fit their needs like this one, so it had to close! And it did just that.
