Relocating to another city can be overwhelming. Here are a few tips I share with clients about relocating to the Oklahoma City/Yukon, OK area.
st: I tell all of my out-of-state clients to have their home listed before we start house hunting in Oklahoma City. This will make sellers feel better about a contingent offer if they know you have already started the process. It’s even better if you are under contract. That way, the home you’re purchasing will be marked pending and agents won’t continue to show it. Need an agent referral in your hometown? I’ll help with that.
nd: Be prepared for virtual showings. Many of my clients find the right home before they can visit. I like doing FaceTime showings so you can ask specific questions while I move through the home. It’s more like an in-person showing than a video. Afterward, I grab a video of the neighborhood amenities and street so you can see what it looks like.
rd: If you’re flying in be sure to add a day to explore. Oklahoma City has some great suburbs so it’s good to set aside some time to explore those. Many of my clients request Edmond, OK, but have settled in Yukon, OK, or Mustang, OK.
th: This is the most important. Utilize me in every way you can! Ask me all the questions. I’m here to tell you about neighborhoods, gyms, shopping, golf, whatever you need. I’m a local expert and I’m here to advise you in all things, not just real estate!
